Stephane Boghossian, founder of EXJEWEL, is moving towards a general training of Design (NABA / Milan). Soon he is interested in jewelry and has its most noble extension, diamond and colored stones. Since 1900, The Boghossian family BELIEVE IN A DIGITAL-ENABLED, TRANSPARENT LUXURY INDUSTRY
The birth of ExJewel come from 6 generations of knowledged jewelers and diamond dealers. I want to add value to the jewelry industry by reducing the 92% of worldwide jewelry that are not sold or worn.
We believe in a digital-enabled, transparent luxury industry. Our no-inventory marketplace makes it easy for customers to buy and sell appraised jewelry
ExJewel’s tech-powered jewelry appraisal tool is changing the way jewelers and jewelry owners alike manage their prized possessions. Today, 92% of jewelry sold is not worn in any single year, but turnover speed is low due to the time- and labour-consuming nature of the manual appraisal process
We make it (finally) 100% digital and instantaneous to appraise a piece of jewelry, by combining customer input (photo, details) with millions of public and proprietary data points. Our pricing algorithm learns from new customer data and market trends.
The ExJewel project is financed with two sources of revenue :
- A paid version of our service. Users who choose to do so can become members and register for one of our Premium offers, which provides several additional features: Unlimited digital appraisal, an Inventory Management and more.
- A Workshop about Ethical Work. This program allows jewelry apprentice to learn the basics of a responsible jewelry eco-system in just 6 weeks. The program also helps participants discover the world of Jewels, Gems and Metals.
Exjewel is a French-based start-up founded by Stephane and his friends.
So yes, the ExJewel web application is entirely independent and is not represented by any government.
This means that our jewelry evaluations and recommendations are entirely objective: no brand or manufacturer can influence them in any way. What’s more, the platform doesn’t do any advertising.
We’d like to think of it like you’re seeing your ex-partner again. But the best part is that you get the chance to change the things you didn’t like about them 😉
